Medical, Dietary & Other Fees

HOUSE FOOD:

Now that our boarding has fully re-opened, we have restocked our house food with 2 options:

OPTION 1: Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon and Rice Formula – $3.00/cup

OPTION 2: We will have several premium varieties in limited quantities, such as:
• Stella & Chewy’s Raw Coated Beef Recipe
• Stella & Chewy’s Raw Coated Chicken Recipe
• Fromm Chicken auFrommage Recipe
• Fromm Pork & Peas Recipe
• Fromm Rancherosa Recipe
• Fromm Salmon Tunalini Recipe
• All premium varieties – $5.00/cup

House food is strictly reserved for unexpected boarding reservations and boarding extensions, or if the owner provided food runs out before the end of your dog’s stay. In the event that your dog needs to be fed house food, a Tail Waggerz employee will contact you to determine which house food option you would like, and we ask that you please select the option that best matches your dog’s current diet, to reduce the chances of an upset stomach.

MEDICATIONS:

For VETERINARY PRESCRIBED medications, we will be implementing a medication administration fee. This will range from $3.00/day to $7.00/day, depending on the number of medications, type of medications, and your dog’s willingness/cooperation in taking their medications.

Medication Tier Examples:

1 – Pill(s) at meal time that dog takes with ease
$3.00/day

2 – Manual pilling of dog
$5.00/day

3 – Multiple medications, meds outside of feeding times, and/or non-pill meds (eye drops, ear drops, etc)
$7.00/day

Determination of which tier your dog’s needs fall under will be at the discretion of the Tail Waggerz Staff, multiple charges may be applied when applicable.

REMINDER: ALL MEDICATIONS MUST BE IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING THAT STATES WHAT THE MEDICATION IS AND DOSAGES. DO NOT PUT MEDICATIONS IN WITH FOOD OR IN ZIPLOC BAGS.

SPECIALTY DIETS:

Specialty diets include anything other than dry dog food (dry dog food includes freeze dried). For specialty diets we will be implementing a fee ranging from $3.00/day to $7.00/day. This will depend on what the food is exactly and will include refrigerated and/or frozen foods, as well as additional non-prescribed supplements that are to be added to your dog’s food. To avoid or reduce specialty diet charges, you can pre-portion out each meal in its entirety into Ziploc bags.

Diet Tier Examples:

1 – Simple dry additives (powdered probiotics, chewable joint aids, etc)
$3.00/day

2 – Refrigerated diets and wet supplemental meal additives (this includes canned food, cbd oil, fish oil, cheese, broth, etc.)
$5.00/day

3 – Raw diets (Frozen/Refrigerated)
$7.00/day

Determination of which tier your dog’s needs fall under will be at the discretion of the Tail Waggerz Staff, multiple charges may be applied when applicable.

ALL FOOD PACKAGED BY INDIVIDUAL MEAL:

All kibble must be packaged individually per meal. This means we will require one sandwich bag for breakfast, and one sandwich bag for dinner. (We will be selling paper sandwich bags in our daycare lobby for a more eco-friendly option). Any food not packaged in individual meals will be re-packaged, and a re-packaging fee of $2.00/meal will be applied. Two days worth of extra meals will be accepted for those who anticipate potential delays in their departure date. All additional food will be discarded or donated.

**PLEASE NOTE** Canned foods and other “wet” foods should come in original packaging. Can lids are complimentary to ensure proper refrigeration. If your dog has a specialty diet (anything other than just dry kibble) please mention this at drop off and our staff will ensure your dog’s diet is adhered to. Please note that specialty diet fees will be applied.

ZERO NOTICE BOARDING CHARGE:

For dogs who are forgotten at daycare, or boarding a zero notice boarding charge of $250.00 may be applied. We realize this is a very high number; this charge reflects the cost of compensating an overnight staff member who was not scheduled to work the overnight shift.

DO NOT PANIC! THIS CHARGE WILL ONLY BE APPLIED WHEN ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:
• Owner does not pick up dog from daycare/boarding with out speaking directly to a staff member at least two hours prior to our scheduled closing time.
• There are no other boarding reservations scheduled for that night, and thus no staff scheduled; resulting in a staff member having to last minute work an overnight shift.

Please be advised: on nights when there is only one, or two dogs scheduled to stay the night the owner or manager of the company will take our overnight guests home with them. In the event that we are able to avoid a zero notice boarding fee by having your dog stay in the home of one of our staff members, we will default to that policy when possible.
