ABOUT:

Tail Waggerz provides full-service grooming for dogs of all breeds and sizes and our professional staff at is experienced caring for dogs of all types and needs. All grooming services feature a consultation with your groomer to give owners an opportunity to express preferences for their pet’s treatment. At Tail Waggerz, our goal is to achieve complete customer satisfaction while being sensitive and caring toward our canine guests.

Eligibility requirements, policies, services, fees, and regular grooming hours are listed below. Please note that grooming services are restricted or not offered on select holidays.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS & POLICIES:

• Vaccines:
• Bordetella
• Distemper/Parvo (only require first 2 rounds for puppies under 6 months of age)
• Rabies & Rabies Certificate (only required for dogs older than 6 months of age)

If we do not have your pet’s vaccinations at the time of the appointment, we will have to reschedule the groom!

• Spay & Neuter
• Our grooming salon does not have any spay or neuter requirements, however we do ask that you pick your dog up in a timely manner once you have been notified that your dog is ready.

• Take your dog for a quick walk *before* your appointment time in our front yard area or by Forte Memorial Park (behind the building by the parking lot). We are always prepared to handle accidents, but this will help us keep our salon safe and sanitary!

• PLEASE BE ON TIME! We are handling more clients than ever, and our three groomers share one tub that is in use all day. In order to accommodate everyone and limit the wait time for a scheduled groom, we need our shop to run like a well-oiled machine. That depends on everyone being here at the scheduled time. If you think you will be late, please call us at (617) 467-4664 so we can plan accordingly. Late arrivals will be subject to a late fee on top of the cost of the groom, and/or we may need to reschedule.

• Be prepared to pick up your pet 2-3 hours after your drop-off time, or within an hour of when we call to tell you that your pet’s groom is complete. As mentioned above, we do not have a spay/neuter requirement, nor do we perform temperament testing with our grooming clients. This means that unlike our daycare, our salon is not designed to support a group play environment. Leaving your dog here for long periods after a completed groom can cause anxiety in your pet, as well as be distracting to other dogs while they are getting their haircuts. If your groom is over in two hours or less, we request that you pick up your dog within three hours of your drop off time. If your groom takes at least two hours, please pick up your dog within an hour of when we call. Supervision of your pet beyond their allotted grooming time will be subject to an hourly fee.

• Need to cancel? Call us ASAP! Chances are, someone would love to have your spot! Same day cancellations may be charged a fee upon your next groom if we do not have adequate time to fill the appointment.

• Full body haircut

“Neat & Tidy” includes:

• Bath
• Brush out
• Nail clipping
• Ear cleaning
• Trimming of the face, feet and sanitary if needed

Add on services:

• Anal gland expression – $20
• Nail grinding – $5
• Teeth brushing – $10
• Medicated bath – $15
• De-shed treatment – $15+

A la carte services:

• Nail clipping – $15 (+$5 for grinding)
• Anal gland expression – $20
• Teeth brushing – $10

The prices of Haircuts and Neat & Tidies are determined by:

• Size and breed of dog
• Coat type
• Condition of coat (de-matting fee may apply)
• Level of difficulty for requested haircut
• Temperament of dog (“Feisty Fido” fee may apply)

INFORMATION ON FEES:

• 10+ Minutes late – subject to $10+ late fee per dog
• Same day cancellation or No Show – $20 per dog
• Post -groom pet supervision – $10/hr ($20/15 minutes after closing)
